"[Twenty Gothic is like] a skyscraper put on its side over a subway system; it’s great." — Former Toronto Mayor David Miller, 2009 Toronto Urban Design Awards. This intimate 8 storey condominium, with 175 units, spans over the west endof the High Park Subway Station on Toronto’s Bloor/Danforth TTC line. One of the few condominium buildings in the city to straddle Toronto’ssubway line, Twenty Gothic sets precedents for the latest technologies inacoustic and vibration engineering. The additional costs associated with thecomplex structure to span the subway, reduce sound and dampen vibration wereoffset by the design of an above grade parking structure. Nestled in themiddle of a city block, Twenty Gothic is hidden by a canopy of mature trees.
