A winning competition entry for the redevelopment of a Government of Ontario site, this affordable and market rental project for Greenwin Inc. and Choice REIT features 844 residential units over ground related retail and daycare. Two towers, 35 and 50 storeys in height including an 11 storey podium provide for 30% affordable rental housing. The design of the podium of the building responds to the neighbouring context and materials selected for this important asset were selected to ensure longevity and timeless appeal. Brick faced precast covers 60% of the façade to minimize window wall and meet energy efficiency targets. Each tower will have a distinct lobby on Grenville and Grosvenor Street respectively and will be flanked by retail at grade. This new development adds much needed affordable and at market housing in the core with amenities to appeal to a broad urban demographic.
