25 Ontario

25 Ontario
25 Ontario is located along a changing part of the King East neighbourhood, bringing exceptional office space to an area that has seen steady residential growth since a decade ago.

The site of an art deco heritage building on Adelaide Street East in Toronto’s St. Lawrence neighbourhood is set to become a high-performance workplace office tower with a stunning multi-storey atrium lobby, a sky room, and premium amenities like outdoor terraces and patios. 25 Ontario Street is a 450,000 s.f., 29 storey office tower that incorporates the heritage façade of an existing two storey art deco building at its base. The dramatic form of the tower is derived from architectural desire to provide distinction to the heritage base by setting the tower form back from the existing brick façade while transitioning to sizeable office floor plates above. The resulting angled form of the new glass tower provides a signature look to this building while accomplishing these practical goals. The drama of the tower is augmented with an interior multi-storey atrium with walk-out to a terrace at the roof level of the existing building creating a visual separation between the existing façade and the new office floors above. 25 Ontario Street is designed to incorporate the latest in high-performance building systems including a raised floor office platform with underfloor air distribution and advanced Smart Building technologies such as an integrated systems fibre backbone with the opportunity for power-over-ethernet (POE) devices. This Smart Building will provide personal digital control of building systems, full scalability and tenant connectivity to base systems with nonproprietary components, and extensive systems monitoring that will allow building operators and tenants to see their energy use and tailor the building for optimized performance.
